Carbon Critical Net-Zero Fund secures major Corporate Donation

Updated: Apr 21, 2023

The Net-Zero Fund provides a pathway for Kiwis to support the world’s most effective, evidence-based climate charities. We have received many donations from generous individuals since the fund was launched nearly 2 years ago, and last month we hit a new milestone - our first corporate donation!

The team at mSupply Foundation recently made a heart-warming, planet-cooling donation of $30,000 to support practical projects around the world that directly tackle climate change.

mSupply Foundation is a non-profit that develops open-source health supply chain software to support users in low and middle-income countries.

Here’s what they said about the Net-Zero Fund:

“When we were working on a donation proposal for The mSupply Foundation, it was really important to us that the money was going both to where it was most needed, and to the right people. The climate crisis is the biggest threat to our lives as we know it, and will disproportionately affect those who have done least to contribute to it. The Net-Zero fund allowed us to fund charities that focused on solutions that were both practical and prioritised climate justice, and we were glad to find a way that allowed us to contribute from Aotearoa.”

The mSupply team chose to split their donation between two of the international charities that the Net-Zero Fund supports:

  • The Rainforest Foundation ( works directly with indigenous communities in Central and South America to protect rainforests from deforestation by providing legal support, technology and training to help monitor and stop illegal logging and mining.

  • The Climate Emergency Fund ( aims to raise social awareness by funding climate activism at all levels, from school trips and grassroots movements to larger groups such as and Extinction Rebellion.

It’s moments like these that fill us with hope for the future. Our sincerest thanks to the mSupply Foundation for supporting the work of these great charities by donating via the Net-Zero Fund.
